Located an equal distance from both the Herod Gate and the Damascus Gate and ideal for pilgrims wishing to visit the old city. I've stayed at this hotel every year since 2003 and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotels in Jerusalem don't come cheap and the golden walls prices are fairly high but certainly competitive with local rates....

About ten minute walk to Masjid Aqsa. You have to walk through the shopping market which is quite pleasant. We always went from Damascas gate. Lovely hotel. Welcome drinks upon arrival - we got tea and cold drinks. Wifi works everywhere in this hotel. Our rooms were cleaned everyday. Lovely staff from management to catering staff to cleaners. The hotel...

Overall we had a good experience at this hotel during a 7 night stay. The location is phenomenal--right outside of Damascus gate and very close to the light rail system. There are lots of grocery stores around the hotels although because it is in the Muslim quarter you will have to venture further afield to find alcohol ALTHOUGH the hotel...

Great, convenient location. Fine breakfasts. And you can't stay any closer to the walls "unless you sleep on 'em". High speed internet IS high speed. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. They helped us with travel plans, transportation, restaurant selection and trip connections.

The Golden Walls Hotel is within walking distance of the Old City, shopping, the Western Wall and the heart of the City. The dining room was pleasant and the service and food selection was excellent for all meals. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Our stay was for three days and we would stay there again on...

Our pilgrimage to the Holy Land began with a 5 day stay at the Golden Walls - an excellent venue for exploring Jerusalem, being only 5 minutes' walk from the Damascus Gate. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfasts and dinners all excellent and wide-ranging with food to suit every taste. The rooms were comfortable and...

It is really near everything. It's near a lot of delicious restaurants like shawerma, falafel (Arabien foods), shops, and there are two bus stations, one is near the Hotel and the other is in musrara. I went to the other station, got into the bus to Beit jalla (Bethlehem), which number is 231. Furthermore, the hotel or at the musrara...

Lovely hotel with friendly staff situated close to the gates of the old city. Plenty shops and restaurants around. The breakfast served was just what I needed after a tough 10 days in the old city. Definitely one of the best hotels to stay at in Jerusalem.

Love love love Golden Walls! I've stayed there now 3 times. Puts you right across from Damascus Gate to the Old City. Walk 10 minutes to West Jerusalem. Staff is Palestinian hospitality at it's finest. We lost 2 pillows when housekeeping accidentally had them cleaned...they went out of their way and searched the entire property and returned them both within...
