I stayed here for the second part of my stay in Jerusalem and it was recommended to my by the previous hotel (Hashimi), who had no availability. The hotel is within 10 minutes walk of all major landmarks in the old city. As per any buildings in the old city, access requires climbing some steps. I went to look at...

Golden Gate is a terrific value in the old city. Located near the Damascus Gate, the Golden Gate is less than a ten minute walk to the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The building dates to the 12th century, so if something doesn't work or seem right, ask the staff. They will...

Right in the middle of the Old Town, the hostel is good for budget conscious travelers and those seeking a convenient and clean place to rest. It's basic but for its price offers incredible value for money. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in a 5 bed dorm with family and a 3 bed dorm also with famoly on a separate stay. Overall everything was clean, decent sleeping arrangements and air con! We stayed in a cheaper hostel for a couple of nights and instantly regretted it! was so happy to return back after staying in an unclean, little fan stuck to...

I stayed for two nights in a big dorm room. The ventilation was efficient and the mattresses comfortable. There are several public toilets and showers for the guests. The breakfast is included in the 80 shekel and is quite good for a hostel. The location is perfect, between Via Dolorosa and Damascus Gate. Free tea and WiFi is available at...

Stayed here a few times. Would agree with most of the other reviews. Pretty clean and basic. Few things to add. Free tea and coffee in lobby. Dorms 80 shekels per night. The manager Lutfy communicates well via email but really does need to learn a thing or two re customer service.

This hotel is right in the centre of Jerusalem with all the sights being really accessible. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Food is served buffet style with plenty of variety and every taste and diet catered for with dishes always replenished when empty. The bar and lounge are comfortable. The only slightly negative point...

I really enjoyed this hotel right in the heart of the muslim quarter in the old city. Nice rooms, good shower, decent breakfast and free coffee, tea and wifi in the reception area. I really felt at home here and was sorry to leave.

Staying here at the minute. Pretty clean & basic. Price is good compared to others. Owner Lutfy is helpful & will try an assist as much as possible. Free wifi but not greatest reliability or speed. Location is good near Damascus gate in old city

I stayed here on two occasions for six nights in May / June 2014 as part of a group, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had not stayed in the Old City before, and my preconceptions were such that I probably would not have if I had not been part of the group. It has been a long long time...

“Since one may have to share room (dormitory style), if possible, get a room with friends and family members and avoiding with strangers who may have different habits and sleeping schedules. If sensitive to noise get an inside room.”
