I stayed here for 2 nights in a 4 person dorm with my partner, his mum and his uncle. The rooms were clean and averagely spacious for a hostel. It reminds me more of a hotel as they provide you with clean towels and a buffet breakfast!.. You don't see that much at other hostels. The atmosphere was amazing day...

Always enjoy my experience at the Abraham Hostel. This time I opted for a mixed 10 room dorm, and had a great space. Cool, quiet, comfortable, and I met a lot of wonderful people from around the world. The communal Shabbat dinner was great, and Motek (works the travel desk) gave a short but meaningful explanation to the participants. I...

This was an incredible hostel! The staff were welcoming and helpful. Such a great atmosphere. So much to do in and around the city, with plenty of room to rest as well. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is a bigger and more complex city than at first glance, but these guys have the lowdown without being pushy for any particular agenda. And the bar is a good place to hit some pool and break the ice with others. Top notch!

Abraham Hostel is more than an affordable place to stay the night. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other travelers in an inviting and fun environment. The staff is caring, and there are many activities and tours that offer the opportunity to build community. If you stay on Friday, be sure to sign up for the Shabbat dinner....

If you are used to hotel-type of accommodation -- and you expect that here -- this place is not for you. This is a hostel. What you will get is a nice little clean room with air conditioning and hot water that you can come to in the evening and relax after a long hot day on a tour. You...

The staff were always helpful and friendly. They work hard to keep it clean and make you feel welcome. The location is great with the ability to book tours in the lobby. They offer a 2 hour free tour of the Holy City. A geat way to get started on seeing this amazing city.

I've stayed here before with my family 4 years ago and knew I would come back. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Good vibe, lots of interesting guests. Tour was very rushed ...I works have preferred more time at massada for certain. Didn't really feel the value for money there, since I only had enough time to hike up...

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in! Really friendly and helpful staff and they always have so much going on. As a solo female traveller it was a great place to make friends. Their shabat dinner was amazing. Their tours are great too

I stayed in a 10-bed dorm room with a bunch of other college-age folks. The front and travel desks were extremely helpful for directions, and everything was clean and comfortable. The wifi is also great, and you can't beat having two bars (one on the rooftop) on-site, with prices as reasonable or more reasonable than a lot of spots in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
