We had four nights here. Only 20 minute walk to Old Town or 3 mins on tram which is 5 shekels each. The hostel is immediately a friendly busy place. Really felt like we were welcome and it was great to meet so many people from all over the world. We had an en-suite family room which was great. The...

Loved my stay, met so many great people while staying here. The staff was nice and helpful, ( front desk had an outlet converter to buy etc. which I couldn't believe I forgot). The room was good, the free continental breakfast was pretty okay, there's activities mostly each night and I booked numerous of tours while here.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Abraham hostel. Everything was great. In particular the staff. All the staff members I got the chance to speak with, did their best to help me with my tour bookings. The tours run by their travel agency are fantastic...especially the one to Petra. This hostel is cheap if compared with the high cost of...

We stayed there two nights. One in a private room and the other in a dorm with 3 more people. Both rooms had a private bathroom which were ok. In general the rooms and toilettes are a little old. Breakfast poor and boring in my opinion. The staff is nice in general but the room was cold and we had...

Dear guest, Thank you for your important feedback. We're happy that you had positive interactions with the staff. As a large social hostel we hope to create and informal and fun atmosphere, both for the staff and guests. Regarding the weather in Jerusalem, it was certainly fairly chilly last week - it seems that we're through the worst of it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
