A friend and I spent several days at the Nazar Hotel. The manager spoke excellent English (with an American accent) and was charming and helpful. Breakfast and dinners were of very high quality and it was a delight to sit on the terrace and view the grand fortress of night. The rooms were large and clean. Although there was no...

Very nice hotel within walking distance of the town center, restaurants, the aqueduct, and the basilica. It is also a short taxi drive from Ephesus - ask the staff to call one for you to ensure you pay a reasonable price. The rooms were large and colourful and the washrooms were clean with larger showers. Part of the charm of...

Three nights mid October in the pleasant, down-to-earth town of Selcuk were made by our stay at Hotel Nazar. To echo other reviews, the keys to its success are: its location within easy walking distance of the local sights, its clean and comfortable rooms, its roof terrace (the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or a evening meal while savouring the...

We spent two nights at Hotel Nazar while visiting the Ephesus and surrounding sights on a independent driving tour of Turkey. The central location was perfect with easy access to the town. Ilker Sen, the owner, spoke perfect English, provided recommendations and directions to area attractions. He even drove us to the entry of Ephesus and returned to pick us...

We spent four nights at Hotel Nazar in September, 2013. Selcuk was our base for visiting Ephesus and the surrounding sites. Ilker, the owner, is in my opinion what makes this hotel a real value. He is very knowledgeable and will offer great information and advice as he worked in the travel industry before purchasing the hotel. The hotel is...

We travelled round Turkey for 3 weeks and voted this our favourite hotel. In fact, the perfect place for independent travellers. The location is fantastic, just beneath the castle, with easy access to the town. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool and terrace most attractive places to relax. However, the staff were what made this a most memorable...

This is exactly the sort of place I love to stay when traveling in a new country. It is right in the middle of the "real" town, and an easy walk to the restaurants in the center. You get to experience a little of the neighborhood life -- a little boy at a school down the street came out to...

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here in the last 9 years but the 1st under this new owner. I returned here as it is such a great location and you can walk to the town in minutes. The rooms, aircon, breakfast on the roof terrace and the pool are all great especially in this price range. The...
