Fluent English and great staff. The people are incredible. The rooms are simple and clean. The center units aren't that great (203/303) as you get lights on/off all night but the other units are great. For the price you cannot beat it. Steep stairs so not for the handicapped or agility impaired. The location is central to Selcuk. You are...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst seeing Ephesus. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful- assisting us to book our tour and onward travel/accomodation. The hotel is clean and comfortable and ideally located next to restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again- we came as tourists but were made to feel more like friends.

Stayed for one night as a family of five and were given two adjacent rooms at the end of a short corridor. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Rooms were not huge but clean and reasonable for the price and we had a small balcony over the street. Free parking was available nearby.

The brothers who run this hotel are to be congratulated on their wonderful establishment. We spent a couple of days here as part of our Turkey holiday. Recommendations for meals were spot on - Lezzet was great. Clean, comfortable accommodation. The ride to and from the airport in Izmir by the owners' father was great and he was the best...

We happened on this delightful hotel purely by accident, through a conversation in a local bus. Situated in a quiet area of Selcuk that retains a village atmosphere and providing clean and comfortable accommodation, the outstanding feature of the Urkmez Hotel is its charming and helpful, multi-lingual staff, for whom nothing was impossible. The other major asset is the charming...

On a three week trip to Turkey in mid-May thru early June 2011, my wife and I stayed at the Urkmez hotel for three nights. You could not ask for better hosts. Add to that the cleanliness, view of the pedestrian street from our balcony, great breakfast on the terrace with its wonderful view of the fortress in the distance....

We only stayed one night in Selcuk, but I would have been happy to stay longer at the Urkmez Hotel. It was very clean, our room was bright, cheerful and large, and the owner(?)/receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. As is usual in Turkish hotels, the wifi signal was barely strong enough to use in the rooms, but was strong...

Likes: really nice breakfast from the restaurant/bar, could see the castle, clean and good beds Dislikes: they put us in what seemed to be the staff accommodation (staff only sign on the door) and it was a bit noisy, the heater didn't work properly so was cold all the time

The best thing about Hotel Urkmez was the amazing service from the whole family. They were very good at advising us about buses and local attractions. The owner's father kindly gave us a ride to the bus station with our suitcases which was very much appreciated. The location was great, in the middle of twon close to restaurants. The room...
