My room was simple, slightly shabby, but clean and comfortable with a/c. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and the owner was flexible. Good breakfast. Excellent location in a quiet part of town next to the museum and 5 minutes from the bus station.

Although much remains to be desired in their service and room, the location is good for people who want to be themselves. It's just behind great efis museum and costs around 40 TL with hot water and free breakfast. You cannot ask for more.

I stayed here for a few days as a base to visit Ephesus. This is such a lovely pension, very friendly family run place. The décor is really nice lots of little, interesting bits and bobs in the rooms, cool metal sculptures, made by the owners,. house Martins nesting and flying around. A stork nesting on the chimney pot, making... More

Owners friendly but room was very cold and outside Street light with no good curtains meant the room was bright all night. Breakfast was disappointing very basic. Having had great breakfasts everywhere else in Turkey. Owners spoke very little English. Problem if you don't speak Turkish.

Recommended by a business owner in town. Arrived 10pm-ish and shown quickly to our 2nd-floor room. One twin and one double/queen for the three of us which worked just fine. Provided with extra blankets plus the requested extra pillows. Limited water pressure in the morning but enough to get the job done. (The second morning's water pressure was much more... More

Barim pension is nicely located very close to the bus station and only a few minutes walking to the town centre. Our room was very nice, quiet with air conditioning, perfect for what we needed and for a cool price! Breakfast is served in the green courtyard which was very nice. The family running the pension is trying to be... More

Stayed for a whole week when I had initially planned just to stay a few nights and switch pensions. The owners are very friendly and are always alert, their English is limited but they truly give a meaning for Turkish hospitality. They will always offer kahve or çay and they serve kahvalti, of breakfast from 0730-0930. Rooms are basic and... More

We looked at a couple of Pensiyons listed in our travel guide but were all just out of our price range. One of these Pensyion owners pointed us in the direction of Barim, and a good recommendation it was. The rooms were considerably cheaper but just as nice, it came with a good breakfast and the owners were very kind... More

Clean room with nice hostess and family on a quiet street. Located directly behind the Ephesus Archaeology Museum, this pension is located near the city center but far enough so one does not hear the all-night carousers. Good breakfast included in price. Near the bus station but a bit of a walk from the train station. Free wifi.

We travelled as a family of 5 and enjoyed everything about Barim. The owner and his wife are friendly and helpful and the pension is well located for all the attractions and the restaurants. It is very good value for money. We would recommend it
