Berk Guesthouse was the absolute best all around! The staff was wonderful, the rooms were big and clean, the location was maximal. The hotel was walking distance (probably about 50 steps!) to the Sultanahmet area where the Blue Mosque/Hagia Sophia/Topkapi Palace are located. The rooms...More
The Berk Guesthouse is a family-run B & B with renovated rooms, an elevator, and a roof top patio with a breath taking view of the old city. The location is ideal: equidistant form the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sophia and near the tram....More
Room was clean and roomy enough for us. People were great and everything was clean. Located in historic district. Everything within walking distance. Price very reasonable and includes good continental breakfast.
Would definitely go again.
We stayed at the Berk Guesthouse for three nights this May; my family of six, son, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and my husband and myself. First, the city is awesome! Second, the Berk is awesome! Our hostess, Jinet, the manager of the guesthouse, could not have...More
This guesthouse is almost exactly in the middle of Sultanahmet which is where you'll find the most famous mosques of Istanbul, the museums and all the nice places where you can eat. Considering the location, the prices are totally affordable.

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

Thank you very much for your questions about our hotel, where you plan to stay on your holiday in Istanbul.. . Our standard rooms are 10m square, en-suite.. They all have large windows to open air, take sun shine..and during the night is very quiet.. We stand right accross from the 5 Stars Four Seasons Hotel... Our street is not a premier one and the heavy city traffic is way far from us.. Only pedestrains and hotel taxies use it..I am the owner and the operator of the hotel and I live in the same buiding with my family.. Satisfaction of guests, good service and cleanliness are our major mottos..
If you have more querries please feel free to write.. I wish you a safe travel and enjoyable holiday in Istanbul
