Excellent stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the showers were very hot. Steps away from all the sights in Sultanhamet.

Basic, clean B&B. Stone’s throw away from all major tourist spots. Very safe for single travelers too – especially women I would think. The staff was more than helpful. We were booked for a double room with shared bathroom, but since they had a double room with attached bathroom free, they allocated it to us at no extra cost. It’s...

You get what you pay for so dont expect anything more than a bed to sleep in a small but clean room. Breakfast is basic but it comes with a view of busy bosperous....

This small hostel is located right in the center of Sultanhamet, very close to the tram station and the main historical sights (e.g. Blue Mosque, Ayasofia). While basic, the rooms are clean and comfortable and have a charming homely environment. We had a delicious Turkish breakfast with tea, coffee, fruits, olives, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, bread, marmelade....yummy ...and overlooking the...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
