From a warm welcome to a cup of Turkish coffee on the most well placed balcony in Sultanahmet , this family hotel made us feel welcome from the start. The location was perfect and close to all transport links and sights, which made it easy to get home at night and get to the front of most queues in the...

Loved the quaint family inn. The warmth exuded by all running the place made the stay memorable. Breakfast was really sumptuous and a big spread. We loved it in the beautiful terrace overlooking the Sea of Marmara. Even though it was very close to all the must sees in Sultanahmet like the Blue mosque and Ayasofia yet it was quiet...

I would call this place a "home" rather than a "hotel" with its very comfortable rooms and super friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect and safe both for locals and for tourists, because you can walk everywhere but still you are far from the annoying crowd and noise. If you want to experience a real Turkish breakfast -it...

This little hotel was perfect for us. Withing walking distance to so many things...including the rail lines. But it was tucked far enough away from the crowds to be quiet at night. Things that stood out...1) The staff. Super helpful & friendly & accommodating. 2) The BREAKFASTS! OMG. The moment we left Turkey, I found myself MISSING those daily buffet...

The staff and the breakfast, respectively, that is. Location is very convenient for visiting the "must-see" places in Sultanahmet. Walk to the Blue Mosque, Ayasofya, the Basilica Cistern. and the Palace. Galata Bridge is about 3 tram stops away and the Grand Bazaar 2 tram stops in the other direction, both perfectly walkable. Although it's so close to everything, it's...

I was sure I booked online with Agoda for a double room with 1 bed, but on my arrival, I was surprised that they upgraded my booking to a larger unit with two rooms and 2 beds. The room had hardwood floor and was quite clean. Since it was on the second floor and there was no elevator, we had...

Lovely little bed and breakfast situated near the main sites in the Sultanahmet District. My room was clean, comfortable and included en-suite facilities. I really enjoyed the amazing breakfast buffet, there was plenty to choose from and they catered for all tastes. But best of all were the staff who made me feel very welcome, they were all friendly and...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
