Turvan hotel is at an excellent location near sights and shopping places. I ve stayed there many times the last time was 15 to 22 February 2014. The rooms are just right and clean the hotel staff are friendly and they go out of their way to help you in any way. The prices are correct for what they offer...

Well, it was a bit of an interesting start to our holiday as we walked in and they informed us that they'd not got space until the following morning, despite the phone call the previous day to check. We didn't have a choice but to agree to staying a night in their sister hotel across the road. Apparently this was...

One of my worst nights in Turkey I stayed in turkey for 8 days, one of them was in Turvan, and Actually I booked for 3 nights in Istanbul. The hotel representative told me that he booked a sweet for me, but it was a very small dirty room, if I did not reach late night definitely I will look...

Please take note of all the terrible reviews for this hotel! Mould, mould, mould everywhere in my room and bathroom. Shower door broken and the mirror hanging on by a thread. Noise from the street below was 24/7 and in the hotel itself. Forget about the option of paying by credit card - the machine was not working and it...

I am surprised about the prices shown here now. I paid less. Try direct booking. Should be 60 TL single room. I was on he third floor, which meant weak or no WiFi. But worked in the (comfortable but a bit grubby) lobby perfectly. My room was neat enough, big enough, sufficient, not perfect. Bed and towels changed often enough....

If value and location are key, this may be the place for you. Wonderful location in the heart of tourist area with many restaurants at the very entrance of the hotel. This is the best part. The rooms however, are definitely 2 -3 stars. The turvan needs renovations and repairs, urgently. Bathrooms leak water, furniture arrangements are awkward, and just...

Worst experience. First airport shuttle I booked didnt show, I called hotel, they told me to get a cab. When I got there my room was 'unavailable' for the first night so they sent me to a hotel around the corner where I was supposed to pay the same price. It was dirty, the toilet had foeces in it, the...

Please, stay away from this place!! We thought that comments written earlier by other customers would have made a difference over the years and that things might have changed but NO! Our room was small, which I was able to live with. The bathroom was also very small but dirty; This I can't allow in a room that price. The...

The place is close to all atractions. Friendly staff but the rooms are very dirty. Cleaning service is very poor. Bathrooms are dirty. The bathtub was stained in dirt. We had bed bugs. Breakfast was ok, but I am not a big fan of the ham they serve. Kitchen is not very clean over there

Ferhat was working at the front desk and he made me feel right at home evertime he saw me. He was so helpful with planning activities and even made reservations for me without hesitation. The hotel was clean, safe, quiet, I had a great breakfast every morning and it's in a perfect location for walking everywhere in Istanbul.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
