Lovely hotel in an old redecorated building. Nice room (a little on the small side) with good beds. A fine backyard/bar/garden/ restaurant where we in the evening could enjoy the sunset, and later the stars, the moon and the birds rising from the minarets of The Blue Mosque when the loudspeakers called for worship. Hotel ideally situated near Hagia Sofia,...

From the time they picked us up from the airport Ottoman Hotel Imperial staff made you feel right at home till our last day. Staff are great, very helpful, friendly, excellent service. You can't beat the location either, right in the middle of Sultanahmet close to all the important attractions. Our room was over looking Hagia Sofia, clean and comfortable....

I enjoyed my stay, the service is mostly good and the rooms are decent - good size flat screen TV and a jacuzzi bath tub :-) I had a view of Haya Sofia from my window, and it´s fairly easy to get around to the tourist spots around the city. Only issue, it is far from all non-touristy things like...

We booked this hotel after reading many hotel reviews on the site and we wanted to be close to all the sites we wanted to visit. Although there are many hotels in Sultanahmet area we decided on Ottoman Hotel Imperial due to it"s location and good value. We were not disappointed, hotel is right by Hagia Sofia and short walk...

We spent 6 nights at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is good being close to attractions, the own website descriptions are entirely accurate. The staff could not have been more helpful, cheerful and generally charming. The terrace is a delight whether it be for a cool drink, tea in the afternoon or dinner in the evening....

We were met at the airport by our driver who took us direct to the hotel, this was included in the price. After a good welcome and check-in we were taken to our room which although not large was well-equipped and had a good bathroom. The room was equiped with air-con and the usual astronomically priced mini-bar. The only down...

My sisters and I decided to take my mother for a long weekend getaway for her birthday, we decided to visit Istanbul as we have not been there yet. We chose Ottoman Hotel Imperial by chance and we're so glad we did. Location is so great as it's a short distance walk to Topkapi palace, Blue Mosque, across from Hagia...

During my business trip to Istanbul I stayed at Ottoman Hotel Imperial for 2 nights, to bad I didnt have much time to see any historical sites, because this hotel is located close to all the historical sites. Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Underground Cistern all within short distance away, you're not far from restaurants and shops of Sultanhamet....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
