Six people for six days and not a single word against the hotel. We were treated like royalty by the staff, especially Servet and Karakush (?) in the restaurant. We left the ordering of our meals to these two boys and they came through with flying colours every time culminating in our final meal there which brought cheers from the...

We loved our stay at the Hotel. Located very conveniently, right in the heart of Sultanahmet, opposite the Tram Stop, nice in-house restaurant, more dining options around, walkable distance from all major sights. Pickup at Airport was smooth and event free. Got exactly the rooms we had asked for - with lovely views of Sultanahmet Square. Rooms were nice and...

This is a wonderful restaurant in a great location. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant offers a large selection of some of the best food I have eaten in Istanbul.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Traveling with 2 young children, we enjoyed the full buffet breakfast as well as the convenience of being walking distance from many sites of interest. We easily walked (with stroller) to Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Basilla Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and more. Highly recommended.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days last week. We arrived at 9pm, and as this was our first visit, were very grateful for the complimentary transfer to and from the airport. Our driver was very friendly and gave us a running commentary of all the landmarks as we made the short journey to the hotel. On arrival, check...

We stayed 7 nights. The location is excellent and within walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar and Spice Markets and only a 20-25min walk to the fish markets. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and staff efficient and friendly. Thanks to Haluk and Ertuk.

We arrived on the 25th of February 2011 at the Sahiba airport in the Asian side of the city from Rome. The driver of the hotel was waiting for us and he took us to the Faros hotel for 40 euro (considering that it takes 1 hour and an half, with a lot of traffic on the bridges). The hotel's...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
