We spent 4 nights in the hotel with a friend in May, 2016. Though our room was a bit tiny and not in an excellent condition, it was really clean and tidy. The beds were new, we could have great sleeps. The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly and informative. I think Hotel Faros Old City is a good...

Very good hotel, friendly staff, at the center of old cily surrounded with the most attractive sites. Room was great, clean and large enough. Buffet breakfast was also great and rich with many different choices. Finally, I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. I used their transfer service from Ataturk since we were 3 adults plus luggage. The transfer people were waiting for us outside and took us directly to the hotel, we paid 30 euros in total one way. We got a triple room on the 3rd floor (305) which consisted of 3 twin beds,...

the room was clean, the location was strategic, the staff were pretty helpful, and everything was great. It was value for money. just a tip for future travelers, you might want to try the bedroom on top of the hotel, even though we didn't stay there, but it seemed it would be great if we could stay there, provided if...

I was in Istanbul many, many times. This is my first time staying in this hotel. Our room was the best room on our whole trip. Not real triple room. It was additional bed which is not comfortable but we asked cleaning lady to put some extra madras and after that it was great. Exactly like the photos. Decorated very...

Mr Erkut Guven is an excellent manager. He has made our stay very pleasant. He had to deal with two very incompetent staff. The staff in question actually verbally assaulted me over the phone regarding check out time. Not only was Mr Guven able to rectify the situation, he made us forget this very unpleasant experience. For him we look...

A small and nice no nonsense hotel. Good friendly staff. Excellent location with tram station and taxi stand away by 2 minutes of walking. Tram can take to many places of tourist interest and boat piers. Other major tourist attractions are about 5 to 7 minutes of walking. Located in a charming and bustling locality. However in several occasions taxi...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
