This is in a quiet area in the old city, but only 2 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque. Very clean and comfortable bedroom. The terrace on top of the Hotel has panoramic views of the Bosphorus. Very quaint narrow streets with lots of local restaurants nearby.

An unpretentious hotel, but with views from some rooms of the Bosphorus. Very well positioned in the old quarter of Istanbul, easy walking distance to the main sites. Friendly manager. Kitchen on viewing deck for self catering and free tea and coffee. Rooms clean and air conditioned. If you have a fear of steps or heights this is not for...

The best part of the hotel is the location and terrace on top where you can get a peaceful view of the Bosphorus. It is a small hotel located at a 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque square, 10 minutes walk from the Grand Bazar. The worst part of the hotel is the stairway, it's pretty narrow and steep...

I cannot say enough great things about this place. o Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, as well as the T1 tramline and all the action in Sultanahmet. First off, it's super close tWe arrived 3 hours early and were able to check in as the room they had for us was available. We had requested two separate beds and...

After a two-week trip to Turkey, my husband and I last night booked at this hotel. Six months ago we started here our previous journey. We liked the friendly atmosphere of the staff and owner Ismat. Then, in September, we parted friends. And now, this year, planning in February our future accommodation in Istanbul, I booked a standard double room...

The greatest feature pack of this hotel is location-related. * Is just 5 minute walking distance from the Blue Mosque. It's closer than I imagined it to be after reading reviews. * The terrace opens up a really nice view. There is a fancy restaurant nearby that provides the same view for a lot of expensive food. You can get...

In September 2013 my husband and I were traveling alone in Turkey. We visited Istanbul. We stayed in this place for three nights. The hotel is small at a few rooms, but great location. All attractions in Sultanahmet five minute walk. Breakfast is served in the cafe on the rooftop was stunning views of the Bosphorus. Breakfasts were plentiful and...

We had a long layover at Ataturk airport so this is was a last minute booking. They underestimated their proximity to the airport, it definitely takes more than 5 minutes to get there. We got there at about 9pm and left at 5am, so we didn't have much experience with the service. The front desk showed us 2 rooms and...

Great location is the only thing what was good in this hotel. It is located in the heart of Sultanahmet, nice street and your own keys make the feeling of living in Istanbul like at your own flat. Breakfast was not so bad, it was enough not to be hungry till noon. The room (№9) was normal, but the smell...

We stayed there for 4 nights. The main problem was the dirt. It appeared some tiny worms under the toilet each time you flushed it. Really awful! Moreover, both the room and the bathroom were dirt and dusty. On the other hand, the guy responsible for the attendance intended repeatedly to get tips from us, joking or claiming he did...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
