This is a lovely hotel, with good rooms (small, well-appointed suites really) overlooking the Bosphorus directly. Staff very helpful (not always smiling but always knowledgeable and very nice). Tasteful rooms and much comfort. A bit far from tourist attractions, but the bus and taxi systems work well.

Bebek is an upscale part of Istanbul, slight far from the main tourist landmarks but has a busy high street, number of very nice restaurants, bars, etc. Bebek Hotel is a small charming hotel on the main high street on the edge of the the Bosphorus. I stayed in a room with the Bosphorus view which is phenomenal from a...

In my opinion price/quality ratio is not excellent because of the weak room services and management. Especially reception services needs a lot of room for improvement. Smiling faces are hard to find.

This is my 5th visit to Istanbul so we decided to visit a few different places outside the city. This is a 15 minute taxi ride from Sultanahmet past the Ciragan Palce Hotel. We stayed one night here August 1 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this peaceful suburb. The hotel, small but very well appointed,is right on the Bosphorus. We...

This hotel was fantastic. The rooms were really spacious and in a great location. Bebek is a great area with all the activities close by. The bathroom was really big as well. The staff was very friendly. I think the only problem was that very few people spoke English. But even if they didn't, they tried to understand your problem...

I stayed 3 nights with my wife and 2 sons (19 and 17). I cannot say enough about the location, staff and service we received. The location is very good for those who dont want to live in the middle of the city. It has an exclusive feel to the whole experience. Please make sure and avoid the street side...

I was traveling with another colleague to Turkey for work and this was recommended by my colleague in Istanbul since it's our first time in this city and had no idea what is a good place to stay. The reason she recommended this hotel for us was because it was close to her home and it did have an old...

I have been to Bebek Hotel several times but the last one was worth mentioning. I've made the reservation for June 26-28 in March and they told me that the reservation for room no. 405 was made. Since the rooms with street view were too noisy I first asked for a sea view room.Since all the sea view rooms were...

Hotel Bebek is North of Istanbul, in a peaceful, high-end village along the Bosphorous. The rooms are gorgeous, from the fluffy premium bedding even down to the writing desk, and the bathroom is fit for a Queen. You'll have lots of lots of space. As most breakfasts in Turkey, this one is legendary, with dried fruits, yoghurts, cheeses, teas and...

The location on the Bosphorus is excellent. Do book a room on the water it is worth the extra money. I love the little town of Bebek, and found plenty of buses to town. They run constantly and are very cheap. Plenty of restaurants around and little markets. Skip Poseidon, it is overpriced, stuffy and not worth it. The breakfast...

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.

“Choose a room on the Bosphorus side. Do not choose a room on the street side--too noisy. There are lovely large, sunny rooms on the street side but the traffic in the evenings is too much. If you will be out late, it probably won't matter.”
