Clean, cozy and comfortable rooms in a great location for those who are into shopping and nightlife, though at the moment you can't see many backpackers in Istanbul . If you are on a budget and interested in clean rooms and nightclubs , this hotel in the heart of Istanbul is just for you. Faik, the owner, was very friendly and...

We stayed in this hotel 12/2015. Location is great if you like to stay in centrum. There's great opportunities for shopping and partying near hotel. Rooms weren't so nice that it looks on pictures. Also noise was really bad at the times from the bar next to hotel.. Overall everything went well and staff was friendly.

We've visited this hotel with my wife and child 1yo. Outstanding location and very clean room despite small size. We were absolutely happy with this accommodation. Affordable price, because we did not book hotel in advance and just checked in on arrival (which was risky) we received discount about 5% from booking.com price. Ahmet and other guy from reception were...

I should note first off that my room was up three flights of stairs with no lift, and my fridge did not work. I only mention these in case there will be any visitors who need a lift, or a guarantee of a functioning fridge. However, neither of those applied to me during my trip, so I had a wonderful...

I was looking for a clean, affordable and welcoming hotel in Istanbul, and the Serene Hotel surpassed all of my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it is located on the ever-lively Istiklal Street. The double room was very small, but the manager offered a larger room at the same price for our next visit! There isn't an...

Wow, if you want reasonable accommodation right in the throbbing heart of Istanbul, on Istiklal St, this is it. But be aware, there is no lift and the stairs are steep. Our room on the fist floor (the least stairs) was stunning, complete with little kitchen area. And the windows were sound-proofed so slept like a baby. The entrance was...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
