From the moment we arrived the staff were very polite and helpful. Small but clean room with comfy bed and a super shower. Breakfast room is cosy with a wide range of good food including delicious omelettes. The hotel is a 20 minutes walk or short tram ride to the beautiful sites such Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace....

Enjoyed stay very much.Wonderful people.Always ready to help. room a bit noisy as the echo from voices in the park would tend to be loud at night. I would go back any time.

Excellent location, close to grand bazaar, it was walking distance. There are lots of shops down the main road to get some yummy baklava and lots of restaurants closer to the bazaar. If you like walking like us, you can walk to a lot of the main sites. There is noise which comes from the mosque near by, the traffic...

Just return from a week at the hotel where the vast majority of staff were excellent. On check in requested a high floor set of rooms to which a blanket no was given. On booking a trip a general bit of confusion over payment ensured after I had stated I wished to pay by credit card. In sorting this out...

I stayed at the Ramada Grand Bazaar with my wife for six nights for my honeymoon and have nothing to complain about. We were upgraded from a Superior Room to the Deluxe Room (Rm 505) which was great and was impressed that the hotel had gone out of their way to decorate the bed on our arrival. The bed was...

Stayed here for 6 nights, meeting up with a relative from the Middle East. I can't fault it for the price paid. The location is perfect because it is down a short pedestrian street, overlooking a little park so for ultra busy Istanbul, it was quiet! We slept with the window open which would be impossible in most Istanbul hotels!...

The Bad: The hotel name has Grand Bazaar in it but its a quite a walk to Grand bazaar and the hotel is actually independently operated by some other entity with license from Ramada. The room floor was bad - it wasn't dirty but it had black marks all around. The sofa had very bad stains. The room with the...

I stayed at the Ramada Grand Bazaar for four nights. Check-in and check-out was smooth. On arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and were given many pamphlets with information on Istanbul offers on local activities. Staff helped us with our bags and took them up to our room. The hotel offers free wifi and free use of their...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
