Me and my girlfriend stayed 6 days in Adeka in May 2014, and would highly recommend it. First of all, the staff is really nice. There is also free water bottles at the reception and free wifi in the room (which always worked and has good bandwidth). The free breakfast is very basic, but as we learned is about the...

Excellent location and nice people work in, but the building is like from the paper, you listen everything from the other rooms and street.Breakfast was the same every day without changes. Rooms to small.

Noisy and full of mould. The people are very nice but your body does not deserve the mould. Pictures included. The room was also full of mould and all our clothes were smelling like we've been staying in a dirty basement for a couple of days.

Adeka is a very nice place where you get the maximum benefit out of the budget. It's in the Old city, so basically it's close to most of the historical places. The place is clean, warm and easy to reach. The staff were too friendly, they helped a lot advising about things to do in Istanbul. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but...

We have stayed at this hotel as part of our vacation in Turkey. Very hospital people in a great location. Free water is a plus. Do not expect a lot from the breakfast but it helps you to start your day. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was located on the second floor. They do not change...

I am impressed with the locations & saved a huge cost on travelling to the main tourist area, this hotel is situated right in the heart of Sultanahmet which is approx. 3 mins walk away from Blue mosque & other major Tourist spots, not just that the hotel is 5 minutes walk away from the sea side. Rooms are air...

Rough and ready, but perfectly acceptable - not in any way palatial or luxury! Clean rooms, of varying noisyness and size. ours was a good size. Bathroom less nice - some flies, algae and mould evident. the owner will move you to a different room if he can. roof terrace has spectacular views of the sea. Super convenient location for...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
