A stay to remember for a lifetime ! We fully agree with those who wrote that they felt privileged during their stay at “Soliman” ! Perfect location – the “must see” within easy reach – lovely Bosphorus, fascinating Orient Express, mysterious St.Sophia, glorious Blue Mosque, cheerful Grand Bazaar, the glorious Marmaray, the tram, the bars, the small shops etc. Very... Even the location is very good, the hotel needs a refurbisment soon. It was awesome some years ago. Breakfeast was quite ok. You can eat at the 6th floor in the morning but unfortunately u can't see the Bosphorus. Some rooms have a very low ceiling, a lot of them have no view. The bathrooms are so-so. It's a 3... More

But the room was extremely small and our room (122) had an awful mildewy smell coming from the bathroom that was very unpleasant . We asked... More

This hotel is probably one of the best I've ever stayed at. The rooms are decorated beautifully, very clean & the bathroom is great too. The staff are extremely wonderful, pleasant & helpful. Location of the hotel is excellent as it is just walking distance to all of the main touristic sites. Would highly recommend!!!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
