Could not have chosen to stay at a more ideally located hotel. Within walking distance from nearly every attraction in the Old City. Close to tramway and ferries. Rooms comfortable, hotel neat, hot buffet breakfasts scrumptious. I will choose this hotel again.

Spent several nights here pre and post tour travelling around Turkey and would rate this hotel as the BEST BREAKFAST of all ! The location is within walking distance of everything to be seen on a 1st visit to Istanbul and handy to the tram and ferries. The hotel itself is basic with small rooms, some with fabulous views. The...

One things I have to agree with all other travellers is that this is not a 4star hotel. With that in mind, this definitely lives up to all other facilities as it says on the website. First of excellent location, in the midst of all action packed Istanbul. Walking distance to all touristy attractions, a stones throw to Istanbul Metro...

Although this hotel is not the greatest hotel, it was quite serviceable. It was clean, there was plenty of hot water and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were on the small side, but you have to give up something to be in a good location. The hotel is within walking distance of all of the major...

I normally don't write reviews, but I have to tell other travelers about this hotel. I liked the cleanliness, the friendly staff, and the nice and comfortable rooms. I really enjoyed the proximity to important sites like Topkapi Palace, Haya Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Suleyman's Mosque, Grand Bazaar...They're just at a walking distance. My experience was a wonderful one here...

Askoc is a big hotel hidden away in a tiny corner away from the bustling crowd in the bustling old city of Istanbul. Now the above statement sound like contradictions to each other, however it is true. With a beautiful view of Hagia Sophia and Bosphorous, Askoc is a decent hotel to stay in with a spa/indoor pool and a...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
