My girlfriend and I were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at Mina Hotel. The hotel couldn't be in a better location...only a few minutes walk from the old town square where the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Basilica Cistern are. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms were very...

Great little boutique hotel, we had a family suite which was large enough to accommodate my family of 4. great location, walking distance to the major sites. The front desk is always looking to accommodate and assist the guests with transportation or any other concerns. Each room needs an Iron and the shower could use a little more pressure. the...

Hotel is in the middle of the old town in Sultanahmet. Rooms are modern and large. Breakfast saloon on roof top has a wonderful view of Bosphorus. It's walking distance to most sightseeing places like St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Spice Bazaar, Galata. If you prefer exploring by walking, this place is the ultimate hotel. Reaching the place with your own...

Located near the grand bazaar and other places of interest. They arranged to pick me up from the airport. Breakfast was good and the bathroom was very good. I did not have a chance to visit the rooftop bar which has a great view of the city.

We stayed at the queen suite and it was perfect; the view was amazing. the room was spacious, clean and quiet. the breakfast was a nice spread with tasty food. The hotel's location is great:it is close to 2 tram stops and can easily reach all main attractions within minutes on foot.

The hotel itself is very new and bright! But the biggest advantage of the hotel is the location. I loved that it was close to the city center and other attractions. The bar upstairs has amazing view and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for two night. This is a lovely clean hotel with modern facilities. We think we were at the end of the season (November) and there didn't seem to be many guests staying there. A downside to this was the staff did not to be as pro-active as we'd have hoped. This meant me and my partner constantly...

This hotel has the most amazing view of the Blue Mosque and Iasophia and the Bosferous, but the amazing breakfast is not served in it!!! Unfortunately, breakfast is served in the ground floor lobby. The room are very clean but the housekeeping and bell boy need to use Deodorants!!! We arrived early morning and the staff let us have our...

This hotel was perfect! Great updated clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, great staff and perfect location. Also -one of the best parts was the top floor terrace bar. We had a drink 2 of the 3 nights at sunset and couldn't be more perfect. I highly recommend Hotel Mina

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
