We were looking for a reasonable hotel within our price limit and came across this hotel on booking.com. Very clean and good sized rooms. Service by guest relations officer SILA was of a very high standard and Yusuf and Burak and reception were just as helpful. Breakfast buffet has large variety. Very good value for the money we paid. We have been watching the headlines here in the UK and worrying about the charming people in Istanbul and particularly at this friendly small and simple hotel, well placed for exploring the centre of Istanbul, eg Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. We pray Turkey stays clear of the conflict in Syria. Politicians do no one any good. Be...

Its very nice to stay in the Santa Sophia. All major sight seen are very near to the hotel. Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazar, Sofia Mosque and Spice Bazar are located to close the hotel. Metro station is also very closed to the hotel.

Overall ok, good location but had some issues with paying for a tour and getting something else. No offer to compensate us in any way. They could have waived the airport transfer at least but alas, no. Word of advice, make sure they give you what you ask for otherwise say no and have a think about it.

Construction of building directly across the street and another one beside it. Generators run intermittently at night and hammering, sawing and cement trucks during the day. The Internet service is varied and more often than not infuriating as one is incessantly removed from a connection. The breakfast was healthy but always the same with no pleasant paste rise.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and food very delicious and the service was great. We took the tour package and it was worth it, they showed us most of the city and great views. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
