I had been twice to this place. The first time everybody at the staff took good care of me and smartly asked me to write a good review for them, which I did of course. On my second arrival there, nobody cared anymore and just had no interest (or concentration) regarding my questions or my needs. They did few mistakes...

I've never imagined that this hotel is so highly modernized. A very nice sea view and located near taksim square where the istiklal street (crowded shopping centre) is nearly located. The only weakness is that the tram station is a little bit far from the hotel.

My Husband and I stayed for 3 nights and had a very nice time. The room, lobby and the hotel in general was nicely decorated, in a simple but modern manner. The hotel is very close to Taksim, but in a quiet street which is very pleasant. The view on the Bosphorus is quite something! A lot of choices for...

Dreary hotel - dull decor, poor breakfast and restaurant, no atmosphere, pretty charmless staff (including one who insists on clearing up breakfast at 10am on the dot even if people are still eating there). Rooms are decent and some have good Bosphorus views but it needs a bit of life and character.

This is a nice, cute and quiet hotel in Taksim and only a awaking distant from the square of Taksim. Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast has variety of foods and I like staff who demonstrate care for the guests. Easy to locate taxi if you like to visit other places in Istanbul. Mini market coffee shop and restaurants are close...

When I was making hotel reservation only relevant information was location of the hotel. When I was searching online I checked Google maps to see which hotels are close to the place I needed to visit and Cihangir Hotel was first one I noticed. Although I wasn't quite sure how I will be able to navigate through Istanbul streets I...

Great location , quiet neighborhood and best value for money view of the bosphorus. ( don't expect a royal breakfast) This my second time there and the hotel has been renovated. Ask for a discount and you'll get one.

I stayed in this Hotel during a conference and found it over the conference's booking agency. There the pictures didn't look very inviting, but when searching for more Information on the web, I found out that the Hotel was recently renovated. I got to the City Center with Havatas Transfer from the Airport and walked to the Hotel. It's only...

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The room (a double for single occupancy) was reasonable, the bathroom recently renovated and spotlessly clean. There is a restaurant on the 6th floor with a great view of the Bosphorus bridge, but unfortunately breakfast is not served here but downstairs in an unremarkable place - to go with the unremarkable food on...

We stayed at Cihangir Hotel for 4 nights. We had a "sea side view" which means we could see the Bosporous River...that was really the only highlight. The location was difficult for us to find....our cab driver couldn't figure out how to get there and as a result we had to walk through a sketchy and bumpy path to arrive...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
