This is a no frills hotel which offers good service close to the historic centre of Istanbul. Breakfast was OK - there was a decent choice of food items, basic but tasty and plentiful. The only downside is the location right next to one of Istanbul's busiest roads (there was a lot of traffic, even late in the evening, so... More

I should have written this 4 years ago when we stayed but I thought I'd share it now anyway. My wife, now, and I became engaged in this Hotel. It was a mixture of old time Turkey romanticism and new future memories. So easy also to make friends with the fantastic staff. From Martine in the bar practising his best... More

This was a little gem of a place to stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We requested a quiet room with good a/c and we were provided with that. We slept well. The breakfast at the restaurant in the morning was very good. Would stay here again. Centrally located near tram line.

Fine place, centrally located and good startingpoint for work or leisure in the city. Attentive staf. Rich an varied turkish breakfast. We had our Questimarks: all prices are in dollars? Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
