Very clean and budget friendly hotel located in the vicinity of the sultanahmet square. A tram stop is also closeby which makes it easier to travel to other localities of Istanbul. Overall a pleasant stay however, the only problem I faced was the bathroom which was pretty much small.

I was a little sceptical at first, because I managed to secure an exceptionally low room rate for this hotel. I booked it anyway after looking at some online pictures taken by other travelers and also found out that the hotel's location appeared to be fantastic, just a couple of minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Ayasofya and Topkapi Palace....

I stayed at this hotel in conjunction with a group of friends staying in the more expensive sister hotel across the street called the Azade Hotel (they were a part of a Rick Steves tour). However, your Turkish breakfast is taken in the roof terrace at the Azade. The price was much better (than Azade) and the accommodations at this...

We stayed at the apartment part of the hotel (honestly I don't know in which I booked the room) which is 100m away from the main building of the hotel where the reception is. The room was clean and comfortable although it was a small one (we stayed in room 401). The hotel is located in Sultanahmet district of the...

the hotel had a good location but not all rooms have a view with Blue Mosque so you have to ask for it. The staff was friendly except that not all could speak English. The breakfast was very good and the view from the terrace was beautiful.

The Hotel was recommended by a friend that visits Istanbul regularly. We have booked online and called the hotel to arrange the transportation from IST Airport to the hotel, the driver was waiting for us and we were charged EUR 25 for one way cost. We were in Room 502, which is on a street corner, with a beautiful window....

Walking distance from tourist attractions like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Basilica Cistern. You can visit these sites on foot without a tour guide. Relax on the park, sit on a bench in front of the blue mosque and have a Simit and hot coffee. There is also a small bazaar there where you can buy souvenirs and some Turkish...

Nicely located in a beautiful street in Sultanahmed. The hotel has two buildings. I ended up staying in apartment hotel side and got a big, comfortable room in the ground floor. Not luxury, but comfortable beds, nice bathroom, my room was facing the street. Nice view, not too much noise, though, since it is one of the quiet streets. Buffet...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
