Well, did not get the promised beds. Had back pain for 2 days. Then owner was informed about it by tour provider, he gave an extra room for no cost. The staff does not understand english (most of them). But the location is perfect! everything is near by in walking distance.

We booked this hotel as the price was reasonable. On our arrival we were greeted by Hotel manager Haluk whose service during our stay was excellent. We were shown to our room which was basic but very comfortable. As in some comments the TV, Telephone and AC didnt work, we didnt mind this as we were here to visit the Sultanahmet area... More

I stayed 1 x night at the hotel and was given room # 503. I admit it was a special deal (cheap). However, I din't expect a hotel room in such poor condition. It desperately needs to be renovated! Also, the bed linen seemed to be washed but had sweat stains where people lie on or put their heads down.... More

The location is perfect! Not too near Hagia Sophia but not too far either. Near the tram. Near a drug store for people who need Strepsils. Near almost any restaurant. The staff are nice. The rooms are clean and the air conditioners are working great. The Bed is OK. The bathroom heater is working alright.

Excellent location for Sultanhamet area. Breakfast facilities pleasntly informal with good buffet selection. Staff friendly and helpful. The menu for traditional meals was one of the most attractive and well priced that I saw during 3 days in the area - I was disappointed that I was there too early in the year, otherwise I would have eaten there every... My knees are bad, yet from this hotel I was easily able to access every place I wanted to go. The trams made it quick work to get around, but even without we were so close to places such as the Grand Bazaar I was able to walk. The hotel had wifi, which was wonderful, limited television, but who needs... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
