Great hotel. Service was good and the people very friendly. Its near Taksim square which is good for your transportation around the city. it has a roof garden with a nice view where breakfast and dinner is served or you can have your drinks at night. For the smokers there is place near roof garden that can have your cigaret.

Hotel is less than a minute's walk from Taksim square. Well i have probably stayed in more than 6-7 different hotels near taksim square. Well this hotel is towards Cihangir area. The hotel is neat and clean and always decent prices. Also now they have opened up a roof top bar and the view is also good in the evenings....

This hotel is perfectly located between Taksim, Beyoglu and Cihangir. The best areas in Istanbul in my opinion. I stayed in a one person room, which is not big but big enough and even in the heat it was comfortable because if the airco. Also the price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in this area. Certainly will go...

I needed a hotel for one night in Istanbul. So, I went to Vardar for their location. I've stayed in many, many hotels in Istanbul. This one was clean. Location is perfect for people who like to go out and hit the town. It's very close to Taksim Square. So, if you are concerned about the political unrest here this...

During the difficult nights @ Taksim square in June 2013 I had a booking in Vardar palace hotel and I really felt safe and well treated. The receptionist was answering all my questions and concerns regarding the demonstration and explained the situation in Istanbul. Further the cafe/breakfast room at roof is amazing and offers a great view to the see...

We just returned from a family vacation in Istanbul and stayed at Vardar for 1 week. It was a great experience. Excellent location, great rates and breakfast included. The only downfall was the beds too hard. The hotel was extremely clean. Great staff as a resource for tours and restaurants. Location was wonderful. Restaurants circled the hotel without the added...

Excellent and cosy hotel, very good location, one block from Taksim square. Rooms are spacious and price of the rooms are very reasonable. Very helpful and friendly staff. When booking a room make sure to get a back side room. Front side rooms can be noisy while the traffic is quite heavy and the street is crowded, specially on weekend...

We had big concerns about the noise based on other reviews but our 5th floor room was very quiet. The room was quite large and clean. The bed was nice and AC and wifi worked well. The location is perfect as it is very close to Taksim square which every cab driver can get you to. Also a great location...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
