In front of a Metro, funicular, and tram station on the Taksim Square. Right out the door is the start of Istiklal Street. My only complaint (as an American) is that the first floor...

We used Taxim Hill Hotel for our recent international conference and couldn't be more pleased on all accounts, both as a conference coordinator and guest. As a conference holder - their meeting space, technology, logistics, and responsiveness to operational needs was stellar. All meeting rooms were equipped with mounted LCD projectors and screens for PowerPoint and Skype, and the Internet...

Rooms are very average, but the location here is great. Right on Taxim Square and if you have a room that overlooks the Bosphorus it is amazing. Breakfast leaves something to be desired and the walls between rooms are very thin. Interior of the hotel is very dark.

I stayed four nights on Taxim Hill Hotel and will not be coming back. The room was clean, but run down. The receptionist was uninterested. The aircondition was noisy even when shifted off, and you could hear the other guests clearly. And at checkout I was charged for services I did not recieve. But as a female travelling alone this...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
