Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Experience to FORGET, if you want the cleaning ladies to look in your bags and steal your money when you are at breakfast, you can go to this hotel. When I told them what happened, in addition to not giving me my money back, they didn't even offer me an aperitif or give me any discounts. Indecent room, sheets with black lines, dirty handkerchiefs in the bedroom upon arrival. What's even more absurd, shit in the toilet while we were gone and the door blocked when we returned. how disgusting. Look for another place!!!!!!!!!

Location was spectacular! Accommodations were fine. Staff very helpful & friendly. I plan to return as soon as possible. I commend ALL the staff—especially Firat at the front desk. Ask for room with view of the Blue Mosque—it makes for a magical experience!!

Had 3 nights at Blue House Hotel on September 13-16, 2023. The booking process was smooth, the front desk gentleman (Firat) was very helpful finding info, booking events (Bosporus Cruise) and taxi to Airport (with a reasonable price) and even asked how the taxi went through. Amazing location in Old City of Istanbul and best services are in place! Thanks Blue House!

Firat was an amazing front desk/welcomer and a huge asset w/ recommendations to us as we mapped our two days around Istanbul. Bedroom was basic but comfortable. Bathrooms need updating, as does the lobby/furniture. The shower is TINY, but fortunately for our group of petite women it worked. Rooftop is extraordinary and boasts the most amazing views of the mosques at nighttime. We'd stay here again due to the excellent location and top-notch front desk service! *As other reviewers mentioned, the breakfast is skippable. Eat elsewhere, as it leaves much to be desired.

Agree with all previous reviews. Terrific location. Wonderful front of house especially Firat. High end cleanliness and friendliness. Reception furniture is tired. The breakfast is best avoided. Food exposed to flies. We had a very disappointing evening meal on the roof terrace. There was certain amount of confusion amongst the waiters. Perhaps it was a bad day. 2 people. 2 starters. Served one hour apart. Warm wine. Loud music ruining sunset ambiance. We did not stay for the main meal. However, I would stay st the hotel again and eat elsewhere.

Small hotel in fabulous location just a block from the Blue Mosque and close to the cistern and Hagia Sophia. The rooms are comfortable. The lobby and breakfast area needs some new furniture . There is a roof terrace with a view of the Bosporus and Blue Mosque.

This hotel was located in an amazing part of Istanbul and was a stone's throw away from the blue mosque. the service was especially amazing with Firat being extremely welcoming. He felt as if he was our family by the end of our stay.

Check in was slow as we arrived very late due to flight delays and no one was at reception. The room had a nice view of the Blue Mosque. Breakfast was disappointing, over the 2 week trip in Turkey this was the worst by far. Bread was stale, machine coffee was awful and the choices were not that appetizing. The best feature was the location - for sightseeing in the old town it was perfect.

Oguzhon is very welcoming and explained the menu clearly. Everyone is very friendly and nice and the food is amazing. There is a relaxed atmosphere with good background music. It’s very closed to the blue Mosque

The staff, central location, clean well equipped guest rooms, and the breakfast buffet all combined to make our stay a pleasant and memorable one. Not to mention the views of both the Blue Mosque and the Sea from our room. I'd recommend a higher floor for better views. Musa, and Firat at the front desk were very responsive and helpful. We even had a chance to meet Bahadir, the owner of the hotel. A gem of a family owned hotel where we felt very welcomed. They arranged a taxi for our return to the airport for about 400tl to 600tl (we will know when we reach!) Uber/ internet rates while cheaper are not considered as reliable. Because the hotel is so centrally located, we found ourselves coming back to the room to recharge/refresh multiple times during the day. Also, there is a very nice market (The Arasta bazaar) right outside where we found spices, jewelry, good food etc. A more relaxing experience than the spice market where the shopkeepers don't use pressure tactics.
