Nice hotel in vicinity of Blue Mosque.Cozy lobby with books to read Staff is very helpful, but works a bit slowly. Disadvantage: the steep steps from the street into the hotel lobby; staff does not carry your luggage. Very tiny elevator! Fits one person and one bag!

Stayed for three nights. Fantastic location. So close to main square. All tourist attractions within easy walking distance. Staff at hotel all friendly and helpful. Room basic but comfortable clean and warm. All amenities you need at a very reasonable price. Would recommend without hesitation

I echo what most others have written on the great location of the Sarnic Hotel as it is amazingly close to all the tourist sights. But then you add to that the very helpful staff, the excellent breakfast and the free airport shuttle and it is certainly five stars. Just two words of caution. As you exit the airport all...

Very nice hotel in a wonderful location. Literally in the shadow of the Blue Mosque. Rooms are a decent size with good shower room/toilet. I was in a ground floor room on my first night...very noisy as the staff use the corridor to go in and out at all hours. Asked to move and got great quiet room on 2nd...

The hotel is in a great location in the Old City. Right near the Blue Mosque and walking distance to the Hagia Sophia. Love the fact that the building is an old Ottoman mansion and there is a Byzantine cistern directly underneath - I asked Sinan (general manager) for entrance details to visit it. There is so much interesting history...

We had a journey of 7 days. The first day we arrived our window was broken. It was really windy that night so the window was clattering all the time. We complained and the staff directly repaired it the next day. The building is an Ottoman mansion. So the windows are old styled which was not 100% soundproof. You could...

This hotel is truly a gem within the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul, combining the architecture of a historical Ottoman mansion with a modern interior. This quaint hotel was clean, comfortable and close to all the main touristic sites of Istanbul. The staff were really friendly, especially Tarik, the front office manager, he accommodated all our requests and gave us plenty...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
