The Seven Hills is an excellent hotel for exploring the historical sites of Istanbul. Three of the major sites are within a 5 minute walk of the hotel and several nice options for dining are just a block away (Try the Albura Cafe...excellent for lunch or dinner). Bulent, the manager, is great! He was very helpful. The views from the...

Seven Hills Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey. Date: November 6, 2006 Reviewer: Visitor from Canada Initially got in touch with the property to get additional information. The General Manager, Bulent Sayan, immediately responded and gave me all the necessary details - never before have I received such service! I travel a lot and have stayed in hotels and serviced apartments; but I...

I originally read about this hotel in Food & Wine Mag. I contacted the Hotel via the Internet. The General Manager, Bulent, was a joy to work with. He arranged transportation from the ship and to the airport. He can also arrange tours. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and the views from the roof top dining...

Just returned from a very nice visit to Istanbul and stay at the Seven Hills Hotel. As most have written, the staff is awesome, the location couldn't be better, and the overall experience was top. Look no further for a hotel in Istanbul, Seven Hills was great. Close to everything, we walked from the hotel everyday to the places we...

Five years ago I had the good fortune to take my first trip to Istanbul. I was staying in a typical large American hotel, which was OK, but did not have any 'personal' connection. I had the good fortune to meet a restaurant manager, who, upon listening to my mild complaint about where I was staying, proceeded to take me...

Seven Hills is a wonderful hotel. My wife and I spent 7 days here in mid-September and had a wonderful time. The Location of the hotel is perfect. It is between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia and within easy walking distance to many more of the tourist sites. I was in Istanbul for the first time for work...

I stayed at the Seven Hills for 6 days in early October, 2006. We were supposed to go to Bodrum for 3 of those days but canceled when we realized how much there was to see in Istanbul. Bulent, the manager, was very cooperative in finding us space for the three extra days, but there was some mis-communication and our...

Generally, the two most important factors dictating hotel choice in Istanbul are proximity to sights and view. The Seven Hills Hotel (SHH) delivers BIG on both accounts. It has the highest rooftop terrace restaurant on the Bosphorous side of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and a truly unobstructed, proximal view to both behemoths. The view from SSH's rooftop terrace...

After deciding that Turkey was an ideal place to honeymoon, we were referred to the Seven Hills Hotel by our uncle, who stayed there for 9 days and wanted to stay longer! Highlights: The location could not be better--about a 2 minute walk to the Blue Mosque in Sultanahmet. The rooms were gorgeous--easily equivalent to a 4-5 star hotel (they're...

Our stay at Seven Hills was lovely, thanks in large part to its manager (Bulent). I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Istanbul. As other reviewers have stated, the location of the hotel is ideal, since you are in the very heart of Sultanahmet. The views from the hotel are phenomenal. But truly, it was the service...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
