One of the best hotels we have been to in our recent trip to Turkey. We are a family of three with a small child. The staff at the hotel were really polite and always willing to solve any issues whatsoever. The rooftop restaurant is one of the best in Istanbul. Breakfast had a lot of options. Location was perfect...

This hotel has the one of the best locations to explore the Sultahamet area,it is a small hotel that could be called boutique. All the rooms are good size and have all the good amenities, many of the rooms have balconies. The best thing about this hotel is the roof top restaurant,it is absolutely the best in all the area for a...

Beautiful room, beautiful view, perfect location, kind reception and great breakfast! No more than 15 min walk to most of the great sights. Located just behind the Aya Sofia and 100m from the Arasta Bazaar. The rooftop restaurant has excellent food and a FABULOUS view. Lots of dining choices and lovely shops in the neighbourhood.

Okay - you can pay $400+ per night to stay at the Four Seasons, and have similar access to the heart of historical Istanbul. Or you can stay at the Seven Hills, with even better views, enjoy great service, and eat on the rooftop with (absolutely) the best view in town. I've been to Istanbul three times now, and I...

Located just one block away from the main square in Sultanahmet where Blue Musk and Aya Sofia are . Hotel is not luxury but good enough for reasonable price you pay ; very good service and friendly staff . We receive welcome coffee/ tee and room upgrade. The street is nice and quite but you can hear very early prayer...

The hotel is , in fact, an old ottoman house, and the rooms keep the ottoman style in design, so is very different from other luxurious hotels, but that makes your stay here even more beautiful and special. It is a small hotel, a boutique one, very quiet and cozy, and the staff makes you feel like you are special,...

We came to Istanbul for a long weekend at the end of February. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who had come for drinks in the rooftop bar and told me it had the best views in Istanbul - which is does! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel and I will address the different aspects...

This hotel is located right next to the Old Town area, but doesn't have the rough cobble stones around it, so it's easier to drag your suitcases to the hotel. It's an easy walk to the Old Town area and also to the main shopping areas. There is secure off-street parking right beside the hotel. The rooms were spacious, well...

A main consideration for all my hotel choices is the location of the hotel with regards to all the must see sights of a city and Seven Hills was a great choice. They should change the name to the 3 Seasons Hotel as the hotel is literally opposite the Four Seasons Sultanmehmet and at a third of the price! The...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
