My family is adventurous, but used to nice places. We weren't sure what to expect having not been to Istanbul for fun before. The view from the hotel alone made our entire 6 day stay worthwhile. The rooms were excellent and clean. The staff was fantastic and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. There...

After staying is a much smaller place the previous week, the Seven Hills was truly luxurious. The room has balcony, the was an elevator to get to the 3rd floor, a couch and coffee table, etc. We could actually walk around in the room and had a place to put our bags. It was very nice. I highly recommend it....

Stayed here one night and first of all: the location is perfect just behind Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque! The room was OK, but the breakfast was "too turkish" for my taste. But the best part; a wonderful restaurant on the roof terrace with great food and a wonderful view of Bosporus!☺

My partner and I found that the hotel we had booked was closed so we ended up at the Seven Hills late evening on a Friday. The gentleman at the reception was very kind an we got a good deal for the weekend. The hotel is lovely and the restaurant even better with delicious seafood, not to talk about the...

This hotel is a firm favorite with us. It is in the perfect location for sightseeing shopping and just relaxing in Sultanahmet. It's not impressive or super smart butt still wonderful. The staff are all really friendly. With all the recent troubles in the city this still has to be one of the best places to stay and enjoy your...

The hotel was a little hard to find. The lobby was unimpressive. The rooms felt old. The wi-fi was a little slow but workable. The service in the lobby was great. The concierge and reception desk were most helpful. But you stay here because of the great location and service. The view from the restaurant and rooftop is simply amazing....

Very friendly staff and wonderful panoramic views over the sites of Istanbul. Menu mostly Turkish with an excellent selection of fresh fish. Baklavas are a must. Try to catch a call to prayer as the mosques collaborate with each other to produce a very haunting sound.

Well worth a visit, we were looked after very well, being two women on our own, spacious room with a magnificent view. Comfortable bed, nothing was too much trouble. Will stay there again. Thank you seven Hills for a wonderful three days.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
