I read the positive reviews in this site and booked the hotel but it was much less than my expectation, room was acceptable, breakfast poor, service poor, the hotel lacks management! it's like poor 3 star hotels, the only advantage is the closeness to Taksim square, I don't recommend this hotel unless they improve their hotel and service!

One cannot go wrong choosing Taximtown Hotel! Superbly located only moments away from Taksim Square/Istiklal Caddesi and extremely close to all modes of transportation. The hotel is incredibly clean and rooms generously sized (we booked 2x Double Standards), very comfortable beds, toilets modern and also extremely clean with spacious shower and current sanitary ware. Breakfast was decent with a great,... More

It's 5 mins to istiklal Street. Loved it and loved the stay! Room is very clean....comfy bed and great breakfast that will make anyone's belly happy. There is a Shawerma shop right beside the hotel (same street) that sells yummy shawerma. There are alot of day trips to bursa and different touristic places! A bit pricey but amazing. Can't wait... The Location of the hotel is outstanding, close to Taqsim square, Istiklal Street, Metro station, and bus station, very easy to move around from the hotel. The staffs were friendly and great, they were ready to help. The breakfast was ok, my kids enjoy it. We stayed 7 days and we were happy with our stay except for the noisy... More

One of the best places we stayed at. By some lucky star we were allocated a Standard Double room on the top floor avoiding any street noise that lower floor guests have pointed out. We had a window that opened up with a view out to Taxim Square where we could watch sky lanterns launching into the evening sky. Our... More

We booked a triple room, we got a room on the 1st floor (105) that has no normal overlooking windows hence no natural light! (Try to avoid this room) Overall, the cleanliness of the room is good. Breakfast is minimal with limited options! The staff is very nice and helpful. The neighborhood of the hotel is not that good... It's... More

A nearly new established hotel, is very clean with a good service. We were for four nights, booked two rooms, one of them in the front of the street, the other was in the back. The only problem it may have is a little noise in the front side of the structure. The is a safe box in each room,... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
