I stayed at the Adahan based on a recommendation from a Turkish friend. When I first arrived, I was a little disappointed because the hotel was a bit more basic than I usually like. But it was clean, and the room was spacious enough without being at all plush. The breakfast was good and varied and all the people who...

We stayed at the Adahan on recommendation of friends who live in Turkey. We spent 6 nights at the hotel so got a good feeling for the place. First the location is perfect. It short walk to the best pedestrian shopping street, IIstikla and also very near the Tunnel and Gallatta Tower. It was an ideal location for visiting the...

This hotel is wonderful. The rooms and bathrooms are huge. The street is quiet at night yet you're just a short walk from Istiklal, the Tunel, or the Galata bridge. The front desk has an Istanbul card they'll loan you to use public transport. The staff here is so accommodating and friendly with anything you need. The rooftop bar serves...

The restaurant on the top of the roof has a fantastic view over Istanbul. The hotel is nicely refurbish, the rooms and bath rooms are very big and comfortable. Excellent breakfast buffet. If you like the night life it is the place to be, but it can be rather loud at night, don't forget your ear plugs.

I recently stayed at the Adahan for 3 nights as part of a friends 40th birthday visit to Istanbul and I will definitely go back. The building is beautifully restored and it was so lovely to stay in a boutique hotel that is not your typical run of the mill 'chain hotel', the bedrooms are huge. The staff at Reception...

Location, the building itself, the rooms. Absolutely amazing hotel. It is literally 5 minutes walk to Istiklal Caddesi, and back-streets of Galata and Pera full of bars and restaurants. Breakfast was great. Staff kind, and informative. Will definitely be back here. Tessekkur ederim!

Hotel provided an excellent value for money. Great breakfast, nice staff, powerful wifi, rooms were very clean and stylish, the location was great as it is right next to the metro and also walking distance to a lot of action, and the view from the roof was post-card worthy.

i recommend the Adahan to all my friends visiting Istanbul, and I have stayed in plenty of hotels in the city, including famous and expensive ones. Steps away from the clubs and entertainment area, as well as from some of the more famous meyhane, it's an old building lovingly and carefully restored (a rarity in the city with the worst...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
