The hotel is not really big, but it is comfortable, clean and very close to Taksim square and metro: there is also an underground car parking in front of the hotel in case you travel by car. WiFi was great (and included in the room fees), breakfast is good, personnel is always available to help and kind. Private transport from/to...

Finding the Emerald Hotel was a God-sent to me. I had landed in an unpleasant accommodation after being referred by an agent at the airport. Taking a stroll around the area to look for better options, I walked into a small, but pleasant looking reception and struck gold on the first try. Pleasant people, good service, good price. Emerald's staff...

It was my first time in Istanbul and Emerald hotel made it oh so special. There were so many positive take aways from this experience. I will highlight the best ones below: 1. The location is just perfect. 7-8 minute walk from Havatas bus terminal on Taksim. 2 minute walk to Taksim Square. And still away from the immense hustle...

Staff were so friendly. Family room is spacious, perfect & has all needed facilities. Restaurant was somehow small. Breakfast was delecious but need more variety. As a muslim, I didn't like to see alcoholic drinks in my room's minibar. Moreover, I'd like to see Qibla direction indication in the room for praying.

Our room was clean and cosy, if a tad cramped. The hotel is around 5 minutes walk from Taksim and the front desk staff were particularly helpful. Breakfast was fairly good, although the omelettes that we ordered were too oily for our taste.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
