Bada Bing has delivered from our first booking request. We quickly received an email with directions to the hostel and a reply to our request about transport assistance from the airport. The hostel has been very helpful in accommodating our need for extra nights. They upgraded our room free of charge to a very spacious 2 rooms with 2 large...

Bada bing is a brilliant hostel. The staff always friendly and could not have been more helpful during our stay. It's a really fun place to be. There is a nice bar up stairs, which is great place to meet people. Bada bing is perfectly located to strike out into Istanbul. Altogether it's excellent. I could not recommend it more.

I had nothing but good experiences at the hostel. The location was great, 15 minute walk to the old city but away from the busy touristy area, I didn't have to take public transport once. I stayed in a dorm room which was simple but clean and comfortable, as were the bathroom facilities. All the staff was super friendly and...

Chill area, very close to the water. Friendly staff and a few minutes walk to the metro. It's between the main tourist area and taksim square. The dorm beds could be a bit more comfy and showers need an upgrade but otherwise a five

My experience in this hostel was very nice ! This hostel has a very nice atmosphere, all the staff are so friendly and the location is one of the best in Istanbul, they are near to the night life and the touristic points of the city ! - 5 min walking from a tram/ferry station, supermarket and 2 min walking...

This place is great! It is located in a quieter part of the city away from most of the tourists, but also close enough to walk everywhere. The central location is ideal for exploring the city by day and going out at night. The rooms, bathroom, kitchen, and common areas are all very clean and comfortable. There is also a...

Good accommodation. Chilled and relax. 10 minute walk to Istikal street. 5 Minute to Galata Tower. 15 minute Walk to sultanahmet district. Nice location a bit secluded. Good if you are in for chill relaxed visit to istanbul. Easy transportation. Not good for party travellers.

I stayed at Bada Bing for almost two weeks last fall. It was reasonably priced, conveniently located, with friendly staff and patrons. The rooms are not huge, but they do the job. The complementary breakfast, while a bit sparse, did the job. And the restaurant's actual menu is good. Best of all were the other travelers I met, who are...

I'd never actually stayed in a hostel before, and my time at Bada Bing definitely convinced me to do it more often. The staff was super nice and were happy to give suggestions about traveling around the city. The rooftop bar was a great place to meet people, and Volkan, the owner, took us out to places that only the...

This is a great hostel in Istanbul. It is very close to the Istanbul Modern art museum which is fantastic. There are many cafes and restaurants in the area also. The tram and ferry are close by, making it easy to get to the old town or to other areas of the city. There is a bar upstairs for guests...

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
