The receptionist is very rude. First day we didn't get the requested room and they promised to move us next day. it didn't happen. There wasn't a proper window in the room which was very small. They offered twin room instead of double which wasn't our preference. And then they simply refused to change our room because hotel was full....

Perfect location, very cozy rooms ( I had a room on the 4th floor with crimson lamps and curtains), very helpful staff. But the elevator was very strange - it was really faster to get the 4th floor on foot. The lamp on the table was dusty and the shampoo was used by smb before me. I think manager should...

I stayed 1 night at the Ayasultan in Istanbul on Tuesday, August 26th. This was arranged for me as an overnight through a tour package with One Nation Travel. I was pleased when I got to the hotel. I was greeted at the curb and they brought in my luggage. The check in process was seamless. I had a room...

Location was a plus. Easy to find. Rooms were small but clean. Not the most comfortable bed. Service was great. Very helpful with rides to the airport. Breakfast selection was very good. The only thing that kinda sucked was that our AC was not working. Thankfully it wasn't terribly hot.

The staff at Ayasultan are fantastic. We encountered a number of problems, with transfers and tours in particular, and the staff could not have been more helpful. There were also some small issues with the hotel, but the staff's willingness to help meant that everything was sorted out as soon as possible. Hotel is in a great location, with easy...

Good location but that is where the good ends. It is a construction site so for the daytime, it is very noisy. The breakfast is realy poor in the sence that it is the same everyday. No fresh fruit, the cold meat and cheese, from very poor quality. They can realy put a better effort in. The mattresses are in...

The location is excellent within walking distance to almost all the old sites to see, staff very helpful and value not bad at all. Rooms are a little on the small side, and unfortunately renovations were ongoing during the day when we were there, but not a big deal as we were normally out and about during the day. Watch...

Pros: the location of the hotel is very close to Sultanahmet tram station and many of the attractions. the staff are very helpful and friendly. Cons: First Cleanliness!! we were stating in two rooms. both were unclean. it was obvious that the maids were just surface cleaning the rooms. When we first checked in we saw hair and shampoo/conditioner stains...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
