I have been a globe trotter, I live on suitcases. I have been to so many countries that go beyond my calculations. Yet this December I had my first visit to iStanbul. It was a quick decision to visit this city on business. Two days before my flight, I logged on to the internet, this hotel caught my eyes. I...

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. All the major sites are within easy walking distance. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were always willing to help with a smile. They speak very good English so we didn't have any trouble understanding them. We were surprised to find that the restaurant is open for both...

The hotel is located in Sultanhamet district and it is really a stone's throw from the main touristic sites you cannot miss. The district has many local restaurants and little shops. The hotel atmosphere is warm and nice and staff is willing to help. Furthermore, they can arrange a pick up service at main airports so that your holiday starts...

This hotel is perfectly located for visiting the sights in the old town. The rooms were very, very clean and although small, very functional. The shower was especially nice. There is a kettle in the room and tea & turkish delight are supplied. The breakfast room is very homey and the selection was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

As a group of 8 teachers and ex-teachers, we 'city-hop' each year. The visit to Istanbul was significantly enhanced due to our experience at Sarnic. It is ideally placed for all locations, the rooms are very well presented and maintained with a high level of cleanliness. However, the highlight of the hotel is the outstanding friendliness and helpfulness of the...

The Sarnic Premier Hotel in Istanbul made our holiday very easy and enjoyable. It's in the best place - easy to walk to all the big attractions yet quiet and pleasant. It's right beside the best small bazaar - so much easier to buy some good quality things than in the ferocious atmosphere of the Gran Bazaar - which is...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
