Turkey > Istanbul > Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
This is a great hotel. Excellent breakfast with all sorts to choose from; pastries, cereals, fruit, cheeses, meats, eggs, olives, various Turkish specialties. Plenty of room to sit in the breakfast room. The room was nice with good air con, consistently hot shower, balcony, kettle,...More

The hotel can arrange a transfer on a minibus - there is also a travel agent almost opposite who also advertises transfers. Price - from memory it was around U.K.£10.to Ataturk. stature is on the Europe side. The same as via a travel agent. There’s a timetable.
(There’s another airport on the Asian side and that ismuch further away. The guy (s) on Reception at the hotel are really helpful ... for example they said don’t buy anything in the Grand Bazaar as it is a tourist rip/off area. The little shops are outdide the Bazaar are more normal prices. The Spice Market is good value and really worth going to. Enjoy your trip. Julie
P.S. the tram/metro are great for getting around the city.
