I am comparing this to the Amira, and I KNOW this one is cheaper, but if I was making the decision (this was my group hotel) I would have been somewhere else. It was all fine, but just a bit too average and staff seemed a little grumpy (nothing major, just that I was used to everyone else being so...

The hotel is dark and a bit strange but the people are kind and wellcoming and helpful. Our room was on the 4th floor and as we paid really cheap we didn't expect anything glamorous and indeed so it was. An small average room with towels change daily. The room was not very clean ant had a lot of ceeling...

My girlfriend and I stayed in the flower palace for 4 nights in Istanbul. The flower palace was a nice surprise to stay in. Most of the review are correct here in that it is a nice modern no frills Hotel location near the tram line to all major locations. Would stay here again as staff are friendly and spoke...

Such a nice clean hotel, perfect location: close to Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Sirkeci railway station, Eminenu ferry boats. Just 200 meters from the tram station. The room was not small. A friendly staff. And not the expensive hotel.

Nice clean hotel, centrally located and walking distance to Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar. Tram station round the corner. Rooms and bathroom clean and comfy. Tea/coffee facilities in room as well as bar fridge. Can be noisy as right in front of tram line. Didn't bother us though. Breakfast very good. Lots of restuarants and cafes in...

I stayed at the Flower Palace for 5 nights and enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it for the price! The room was large, clean and had great air conditioning. My husband thought the bed was just average. The breakfast buffet was great and had a lot of variety. The location was PERFECT - so close to everything! I actually...

I have just returned from my third stay here and have to say each time i have seen / experienced a decline in facilities and customer service. I totally agree that the position of the hotel is excellent for getting about, eating etc. The manager and 90% of the staff have no english, so any concerns are hard to deal...

The good point of this hotel is the location as it's near of the main monuments (aya sophia, blue mosquee, topkapi palace etc...), but also near of the spicy and grand bazar, also 5 to 10 min walking. The staff do not really speak english. Our rooms were located on the 6th floor and the lift was often unserviceable. I...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
