We booked this hotel based on other Trip Advisor comments and were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The budget double room although a little cosy in size was modern and very clean and the bed comfortable. A large TV with BBC World / CNN etc. The breakfast is fine for vegetarians and is a buffet - lots...

Used this hotel as base for when working in Bursa. Great central location within 10 minutes of ferry stations. Airport pick ups and welcome was great. During time not working, the location was fantastic as great historic sites within a few minutes. All good!

Very friendly staff! Very clean! Nice rooms, superb breakfast and excellent location! The sleep quality is good, could be better, if the walls to your neighbours would be thicker... or our neighbours would have been more respectfull! The location is so cool, you are in the thick of the historical area and sourrounded by a good choice of restaurants, bars...

Stayed in Senatus hotel for 3 nights for a leisure trip to Istanbul. As it was already mentioned location is very central, close to all possible old city attractions and sight seeings. Staff is very helpful and nice. I have ordered transfer service from IST airport to the hotel, but they due to some reasons didn't get there, so hotel...

I stayed at the Senatus in January for a business trip. The hotel is very pleasant. The room I had was spacious and very clean and especially warm as it was very cold weather when I arrived. There was tea and coffee facilities which were replenished daily and a well stocked fridge. Plenty of fresh towels, nice robes and slippers...

We picked this place for our Istanbul stop during our week long visit to Turkey, solely on its reviews on TA and its location. Being world travelers, but never having been to Istanbul before, we could not have been happier with our selection. We received a free upgrade when we checked in, as the hotel was not full, which is...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
