Stayed at the Raymond hotel for three nights. Great location to visit the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace as is all within 10 minute walking distance. Good sheesha in the nearby cafes although food was very average. Didn't try the hotel restaurant. Staff were friendly and polite, offered advice and information. Room was clean and adequately sized, although... More

Raymond Hotel is a wonderful hotel to spend a lovely stay in. It is very comfortable, near the famous touristic places and the good shops. Most importantly, the staff members and especially the receptionists are very kind and helpful. They saved no energy to guide us and give us advice. We are really satisfied and we feel very thankful!

The hotel is very very good located in the very center of the tourisitic area - the best advantage of the hotel. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
