Ambiance/Location: The Hotel is located near the Train-Station and the old town is easy to reach by a walk of about 10-15 minutes. The view from the rooms (we were at the 6th floor) and the roof terrace is amazing. However, it doesn't compensate the dilapidated neighbourhood. Surely, it's not unsafe, but it isn't absolutely a nice location. Service/Rooms: The...

Dear Marcus; First of all Thank you for your candid review. We apologize that your recent stay did not meet expectations . There was a huge misunderstanding about pick-up location since there are 2 different airports in Istanbul. Since Sabiha Gokcen is more far from Ataturk Airport, transfer was cost more than expected. According to our conversation with concierge department,...

Just a moderate walk out of the standard tourist area, with decent room prices and AMAZING views of the other Golden Horn shore. The staff is very friendly and HELPFUL. I don't think there is room with a better view available in Istanbul than the Panoramic View Room And after staying in more than 100 different hotels in the last...

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
