Was looking for a quiet, simple hotel with Bosphorous view. In a quiet street off the livelier nearby street with many restaurants. First night was spent in a normal ground floor room behind reception - Management had overbooked and our room was unavailable. Next day we were moved upstairs. Simple room and services (with a lift) Breakfast was buffet style...

My daughter and me spent 8 days in the Saba Sultan Hotel and we can highly recommend it for the ideal location close to the most important buildings and the Tramway 1. This is a small hotel with a perfect location close to good restaurants, the Metro and the historic centre of old Istanbul. The hotel is located in a cul-de-sac a block away from the tourist area, so it is quiet. Our room seemed newly refurbished - it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff at the hotel are very...

We had a wonderful week in lively and welcoming Istanbul at Saba Sultan! The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had two rooms which were very tidy with nice clean bathrooms. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
