A few days before we were to leave for our trip, the hotel that we booked months prior called to say that they were no longer in business. Panic started to set in. However, it all worked out. We were able to get a nice, clean and comfortable room at Hotel Amira. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating.... More

I had a really good stay at the hotel, it is situated very nice in the old city just a couple minutes walk to several attractions. Terrace was really nice but unfortunately it was winter when I was there, I bet in summer it is amazing.

I stayed one night and the hotel is so close to the sight seeing areas which can be done in walking distance. The rooms are quite big and the various breakfast food is nice. The very friendly stuff and Karin the daughter of the owners made my stay very comfortable. Will come again soon. Thank you

Everything about the stay was perfect. The hotel location is excellent only around 5-10 minutes walk to Blue Mosque etc. The rooms were well appointed and the afternoon tea was fantastic with free tea, cakes and other delicious things. What i will say is that the service is where this hotel really stands out. Nothing is too hard and they... More

Hotel Amira is very well located in the old city area. A short walk to the Blue Mosque/Hagia Sophia area and further down to the Grand Bazaar. Perfect location wise. It is a small boutique hotel and we had rooms on the reception level - might be recommended to have rooms on the higher floors, to be away from the... More

We stayed here for 4 days and the service and amenities are 5 stars! We regretted we didn't stayed longer. On Amira you can expect to be treated like loyalty, they are always available to help you whenever you needed; they give us a special explanation of the city, places to visit, when to visit and suggestions where to eat... We stayed there at the end of October for 2 nights. Actually we didn't plan to stay in Istanbul. Our connection flight was cancelled due to heavy rain. And we decided to stay 2 nights. Making a fast research on TA we found Amira Hotel. Since it was a kinda late reservation we thought not have a very nice room.... More

We stayed at the hotel in October for four days and absolutely loved it. Right from booking to check-in and our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked on-line and got a good deal. A few day before our arrival we got an email from the hotel asking if we would like airport pick-up. While we paid for... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
