Amira sets the bar very high in their attention to detail on having their guests feel at home! From the very first moment when they pick you up from the airport, to first entrance to the hotel and your room you feel like you are in the moment and enjoying every little experience. The way they present their Turkish coffee...

My husband and I were here for our 27th anniversary and we're looking for a small peaceful hotel close to the attractions. This being our first visit to Istanbul, we were a little unsure of what to expect. Starting with the warm welcome and then moving on to the impeccable service till we checked out, I have a smile on...

Just like all the other reviews for this place, I will commend the team here for their attention and helpfulness. I am terrible at names, but Jimmy at the desk was super helpful orienting us for our first time in the city. We used his marked up map pretty often. The breakfast service and tea service were also excellent and...

Turkey is b'ful and Turkish people are very friendly. Staff at Hotel Amira is very professional and friendly. They did my room upgrade without me asking them. I would stay with them again whenever I visit Istanbul. Close proximity to all Istanbul attractions. Stone throw away from Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the customer service ethic was apparent. They were extremely helpful, Jimmy the receptionist pulled out a map and spent a good 15 minutes circling and telling us where to go and prices etc. This was very useful info! The room was lovely. You can hear the. All to prayer as it's situated...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
