In the middle of April, 2012 we had the pleasure to be guests at the Seraglio. We found the hotel on the Trip advisor site. It turned out to be one of the nicest experiences in how a small family like hotel can make one feel. Excellent service with a staff that made us feel so very welcome, sort of...

This hotel is in a perfect location in the quiet nice part of the old town 2mins walk from the blue mosque. When we arrived we were welcomed with a complimentary drink and given a full run down of the city and all the key sites marked on a map! The rooms are nice, clean and pretty spacious. Great price...

Excellent service, great food, Awesome location. The staff actually helped us on scheduling our 4 day trip to all the historical places in Istanbul. They are partnered with an excellent Travel Agency.

We stayed at the seraglio hotel last week for 4 nights and were delighted with everything. Kenan on reception was extremely helpful, the breakfast and tea were great and the location is so near to the main sights as well as very good restaurants. ( literally 5minutes). Would certainly recommend to friends. Thank you.

I spent 5 days in Istanbul with my mom and we decided to go to this Hotel. We have been satisfied by our choice. The hotel is very clean and it is the most important thing for us. Room and bathroom without spots, they cleaned them every day. It is just 5 minutes on feet by the tram stop of...

We were warmly greeted by Kenan, Front Desk Manager, and immediately felt most welcome! A small, cozy feel to the hotel with comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. Loved the location. Close to Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi and the Tram Line. We stayed for seven nights and were extremely happy with all aspects of our stay. Staff very friendly...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hosts are really very kind. Always smiling, giving good advices. The hotel location was perfect:5 min walk from Aya sofia and Sultanhamet camii. The room were very quiet and clean. The only bad note was the breakfast, we didn't like it at all but honestly, we didn't care because the rest...

Very pleasantly surprised by just how good this place was. Spotlessly clean and tidy, very helpful staff and generally the best in the area. And don't miss out on 'tea time', a complimentary drink and cake in the afternoons! If I was on a second trip to Istanbul I would probably consider staying in a more modern area, but for...

First time in Turkey and Istanbul. It was a cozy hotel. Turkish style everywhere, the paintings in corridor, the emerald table lamp, the light-green chair and cushine, etc. It was a bit cold during our stay, even we are the only ones to live on the third floor, they thoughtfully placed a heater on the corridor. Hotel staff were very...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
