Pros: good location, indoor pool/sauna/hamam Cons: - Very small rooms -Extremely poor customer service: We complained about our air conditioning unit which was too loud and prevented us from sleeping and asked for a better room or free breakfast. Instead of being friendly and trying to accomodate our request, the hotel manager told me that this is a residence, not...

The Hotel could have had an excellent rate, but the room was just too small and it had a tiny window so I felt like I was a bit in prison when I was in our room. Also 80,- euro's charge for a massage is too much. The restaurant next door is good, but just around the corner you'll pay...

we stayed here only one night, because ansen suites, our hotel of choice, was busy for our first night in town. Highlight is the apartment. Huge, confortable, well decorated, brand new. After checking in, we decided to go down to the mini spa/pool to relax after the trip. After two minutes relaxing in the jacuzzi, we spotted a huge cockroach...

The apartments are clean, spacious and well-equipped. The location is terrific in an non-touristy area next to a metro station and close to many good places to eat. Keep in mind, though, that it is a 30-minute walk to the old part of the city, but the walk is a highlight in its own right over the Galata bridge with...

The location was amazing, close to istiklal street, lots of restaurants and within walking distance of tourist sights. The room is quite small, and nicely decorated but we didn't spend too much in it. The gym was quite adequate. However, there were some problems. Firstly, there was a deal listed on the website where if you stayed five nights you...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
